If you're in the final stages of upgrading your Jeep's audio system and have decided to go with our Front SoundStage Speaker Upgrade, here’s a step-by-step guide ensure sure you get the best possible sound out of your new components.

Our Setup
We’ve designed this setup with a first-order filter at 200Hz on the midrange driver, and the tweeter is filtered around 1.8kHz, wired in parallel to present a 7.1 Ohm load. This configuration is optimized to work with most factory and aftermarket amplifiers.

Amplifier Power Requirements
If your amplifier is rated at 4 ohms per channel (which most are), aim for an output range of about 50-75 watts for our Front SoundStage components. This will ensure you’re getting the most from your new system without pushing your amp too hard.

Tuning Your System: Step-by-Step

  1. Initial Setup
Connect all speakers and output channels. Set all amplifier gain controls to the minimum. Adjust your head unit's volume to 80% of its maximum. For example, if your head unit's max volume is 50, set it to 40. With the amplifier gains at minimum, the output will be low, which is perfect for the tuning process.

  2. Break-In Period
Set your head unit and/or EQ settings to flat (no boosts or cuts). Play music through your system for a 3-hour break-in session. This helps the speakers settle in and sound more natural. After the break-in period, you can make subtle tweaks to fine-tune the sound to your preferences.

  3. Adjusting the Amplifier Gains
Slowly increase the gain on the amplifier channels connected to your Front SoundStage components until you achieve your desired volume and clarity.

  4. Adding the Subwoofer (if applicable)
If you have a subwoofer, introduce it slowly into the soundstage. Adjust the subwoofer until it blends seamlessly with the front soundstage, creating a balanced and full sound that envelops the cabin.

  5. Soundbar Tuning
Lastly, adjust the gains on the soundbar channels. Aim for a front-bias in your tuning, ensuring the front soundstage remains the focus. The sound from behind should support the front, not overpower it. Keep in mind, our ears are naturally tuned to focus on sound in front of us.
