Product Questions

1. What makes Audio Uprising different from other Jeep speaker upgrades?

Most Jeep speaker upgrades focus on replacing speakers. Audio Uprising was designed to improve the entire listening experience.

Rather than chasing exaggerated specifications or overwhelming customers with complicated audio packages, we focused on the factory sound system component that has the greatest impact on what you hear every time you drive: the Front SoundStage.

Our upgrades are engineered to deliver clearer vocals, more detailed instruments, improved imaging, and a more balanced listening experience without requiring amplifiers, DSPs, wiring modifications, or permanent vehicle changes.

Every Audio Uprising kit is designed as a direct-fit, plug-and-play solution that installs in approximately 15 to 20 minutes using the factory speaker locations and wiring connections.

We also believe great products should be backed by great customer service. That's why every kit includes a 60-Day Risk-Free Audition, a 4-Year Warranty, installation tools, and support from people who actually know the product.

The result is a simple upgrade that transforms the way your Jeep sounds, without transforming your Jeep into an audio project.

2. Which Jeep models are supported?

Audio Uprising currently offers Front SoundStage speaker upgrades for the following Jeep models:

Jeep Wrangler JL (2018-Present)
Jeep Gladiator JT (2020-Present)
Jeep Wrangler JK (2014-2018)

All kits are designed as direct-fit, plug-and-play upgrades that install using the factory speaker locations and wiring connections.

Not sure which kit is right for your Jeep? Contact us with your vehicle's year, make, and model, and we'll be happy to point you in the right direction.

We're continually evaluating additional Jeep platforms and future product opportunities, so if you don't see your vehicle listed, let us know. Customer feedback plays a big role in helping us prioritize future development efforts.

3. Will these work with the factory Alpine system?

Yes.

Audio Uprising speaker upgrades are fully compatible with Jeep's premium Alpine audio system and are designed to work with the factory amplifier, processing, and subwoofer.

In many ways, the Alpine system is the perfect foundation for the Audio Uprising Front SoundStage upgrade. The factory Alpine system already provides additional power and low-frequency output through its amplified subwoofer. However, many owners find that the factory dash speakers struggle to keep pace with the rest of the system.

By replacing the factory dash speakers with Audio Uprising upgrades, you'll experience dramatically improved clarity, detail, imaging, and balance throughout the entire audio system.

Many customers describe the upgrade as the missing piece of the puzzle. The combination of our premium silk-dome tweeters and robust midrange drivers allows the Alpine system to deliver the clarity, realism, and soundstage it was always capable of producing.

If your Jeep is equipped with the factory Alpine system, Audio Uprising upgrades are one of the most impactful improvements you can make without modifying the factory amplifier, wiring, or processing.

4. Will these work with the factory base audio system?

Yes.

Audio Uprising speaker upgrades are fully compatible with Jeep's factory base audio system and deliver a dramatic improvement in sound quality without requiring any additional equipment.

In fact, many customers with the standard audio system experience some of the most noticeable improvements. Replacing the factory dash speakers improves clarity, detail, imaging, and overall balance, allowing the rest of the system to perform more naturally.

Installation is completely plug-and-play, requiring no cutting, splicing, or modifications to your vehicle's factory wiring.

If your Jeep is equipped with the factory base audio system, Audio Uprising upgrades are one of the simplest and most effective ways to improve your listening experience.

5. Are these plug-and-play?

Yes.

Audio Uprising speaker upgrades are completely plug-and-play and designed to install using your Jeep's factory speaker locations and wiring connections.

No cutting, splicing, drilling, or permanent vehicle modifications are required.

Every kit includes the installation tools needed to complete the upgrade, and most customers finish the installation in approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

If you ever decide to return your Jeep to stock, the factory speakers can be reinstalled just as easily.

For step-by-step instructions and installation videos, please visit our Installation Guides page.

6. Do these speakers add more bass to my system?

Not directly.

The Audio Uprising Jeep Front Dash Speaker Upgrade does not add a larger subwoofer, additional amplification, or dedicated bass drivers to your Jeep's audio system.

However, many customers report that their system sounds fuller and that bass notes become more noticeable after installation.

There are two primary reasons for this:

Improved System Balance

The factory dash speakers are often the weakest link in the audio system. By improving the clarity and output of the Front SoundStage, the factory mid-bass drivers and subwoofer can integrate more naturally with the rest of the system. The result is a more balanced listening experience.

Reduced Distortion

Factory dash speakers can struggle as volume increases, causing distortion that masks detail throughout the audio spectrum. By reducing distortion and improving clarity, Audio Uprising upgrades allow existing bass frequencies to come through more cleanly and naturally.

While the upgrade does not create additional bass, it often makes the bass already present in your system sound tighter, cleaner, and more defined.

7. Do I need an amplifier?

No.

Audio Uprising speaker upgrades are specifically designed to work with your Jeep's factory audio system, whether equipped with the standard audio package or the premium Alpine system.

No amplifier, DSP, wiring modifications, or additional equipment are required. Simply replace the factory dash speakers with Audio Uprising upgrades and enjoy improved clarity, detail, and overall sound quality.

Of course, adding an amplifier can provide additional benefits for those customers building a more advanced audio system. However, it is not required to experience a significant improvement from the Audio Uprising Jeep Front Dash Speaker Upgrade.

8. Will speakers make my stereo louder?

Audio Uprising speakers do not add power to your factory audio system, so they won't technically make your stereo louder.

What they do provide is significantly improved clarity and reduced distortion, especially at higher volume levels.

As factory speakers are pushed harder, they can begin to sound strained, harsh, or muddy. Audio Uprising speakers maintain their composure much better, keeping vocals, instruments, and details clear as you turn the volume up.

The result is a system that sounds more dynamic, more detailed, and more enjoyable at higher volumes.

So while your stereo isn't producing more power, many customers describe the system as sounding louder because the music remains clear and controlled instead of becoming distorted.

9. How long does it take for my speakers to properly break in?

We can't stress this enough: give your new speakers time to break in.

Most customers begin noticing the speakers settle in after approximately 2 to 3 hours of listening. During this period, we recommend listening at normal to moderately loud volume levels and allowing the speakers to loosen up naturally.

What exactly is "breaking in" a speaker?

During the break-in process, components such as the surround, spider, cone, and tweeter suspension begin to flex and settle through normal use. As these components loosen up, the speaker becomes more compliant and performs closer to its intended design characteristics.

As a result, many listeners notice improved smoothness, detail, imaging, and overall balance after the initial break-in period.

A little patience goes a long way. Let the speakers play, enjoy your favorite music, and experience the system the way it was designed to perform.

Installation

1. How do I install my Audio Uprising upgrades?

Installing your Audio Uprising upgrades is quick and straightforward.

Every kit includes the tools required for installation, and most customers complete the process in approximately 15 to 20 minutes. No cutting, drilling, splicing, or permanent vehicle modifications are required.

We provide detailed instructions and our installation guide walks you through the process step-by-step.

Visit our Installation Guides page to find the instructions for your specific Jeep model.

2. What tools do I need?

None.

Every Audio Uprising kit includes the tools required to complete the installation, including a socket bit designed to work with the factory Jeep tool kit and a panel removal tool for safely removing the speaker grilles.

In many cases, the factory speakers are only hand-tightened, making the installation even easier than expected.

No specialty tools, cutting, drilling, splicing, or permanent vehicle modifications are required.

For model-specific instructions, please visit our Installation Guides page.

3. How long does installation take?

Most customers complete the installation in approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Audio Uprising upgrades are designed as direct-fit, plug-and-play replacements for your factory dash speakers. No cutting, drilling, splicing, or permanent vehicle modifications are required.

Every kit includes the tools needed for installation, along with detailed instructions to guide you through the process.

Even if you've never installed a speaker before, you'll likely spend more time deciding what song to play first than completing the installation.

4. Will installation void my factory warranty?

No.

Audio Uprising speaker upgrades are designed as direct-fit, plug-and-play replacements that use your Jeep's factory speaker locations and wiring connections. Installation does not require cutting, drilling, splicing, or permanent modifications to the vehicle.

Under U.S. law, a vehicle manufacturer generally cannot void your entire factory warranty simply because aftermarket parts have been installed.

If a warranty concern ever arises, the manufacturer would typically need to demonstrate that the aftermarket component directly caused the issue in question.

Because Audio Uprising upgrades are completely reversible, the factory speakers can be reinstalled at any time if desired.

If you have specific questions about your vehicle's warranty coverage, we recommend consulting your Jeep dealer or warranty provider.

5. Can I return my Jeep to stock later?

Yes.

Audio Uprising speaker upgrades are completely reversible and install using your Jeep's factory speaker locations and wiring connections.

No cutting, drilling, splicing, or permanent modifications are required during installation. If you ever decide to return your Jeep to its original configuration, simply reinstall the factory speakers.

Whether you're selling your Jeep, returning a lease, or moving the Audio Uprising upgrades to another compatible vehicle, restoring the factory system is straightforward and can typically be completed in just a few minutes.

6. The driver-side midrange on my 2024+ JL Wrangler or JT Gladiator doesn't seem to fit.

The speaker fits. We promise.

Beginning with certain 2024+ Jeep Wrangler JL and Jeep Gladiator JT models, Jeep made a small change to the sub-dash assembly on the driver-side speaker location.

To install your new Audio Uprising midrange driver, place the speaker into the opening and rotate it slightly so the connector on the basket tucks beneath the edge of the sub-dash structure. Once properly positioned, the speaker will sit correctly and install normally.

This adjustment is only required on the driver-side location of certain 2024+ vehicles.

For a visual demonstration, please refer to our Installation Guides page.

7. I'm hearing a rattle or distortion after installation.

In most cases, this is an easy fix.

If you're hearing a rattle, buzzing, or distortion after installation, the most common cause is the tweeter wiring harness resting against the midrange driver.

To correct the issue:

  1. Remove the speaker grille covering the affected speaker.
  2. Inspect the tweeter wiring harness and verify it is not touching the top of the midrange driver.
  3. Reposition the wiring so it is routed safely away from any moving speaker components.
  4. Test the system before reinstalling the grille.
  5. If the noise is gone, reinstall the grille and enjoy your upgraded sound system.

If the issue persists after checking the wiring, please contact us and we'll be happy to help troubleshoot further.

Rock on!
